In most content management systems the Content Template is edited by programmers who code the page directly.

The Content Template assembles web pages dynamically, replacing tagged elements with Content Elements drawn from a database, or from files, or from a native XML repository.

A Template Editor provides a way for the Content Manager? to edit the appearance of the template without coding it from scratch.

In some systems this is a Visual Editor?. Content Blocks can be moved around and resized in the editor interface.

In others, the Template Editor opens a Property Inspector? for a Content Block and changes are made to the individual properties directly.
